Software

Break-through
technology enabling complex system reliability analysis in a simple visual
environment. Experience the power Analyst brings to your desktop by downloading a demo.
Visit our Feature Article where you will read about the birth of this exciting new
technology.
No more complex reliability block diagrams
(RBDs), Analyst uses a single line electrical schematic!

special interest to power telcos (telecommunications power engineers).
In Brief...
One
line schematics...finally, reliability analysis for the masses!
Analyst
allows you to estimate the reliability of complex power systems simply by drawing a
one-line schematic of the system. Systems may be of arbitrary complexity and can
include, complex ac distribution switching logic, time elements such as genset fuel
reserves and lead-acid batteries, HV systems, repair and failure times and
distributions, etc. Analyst does not require prior reliability analysis
experience, yet provides significant new capability in the hands of reliability experts.
Competing technologies require users to learn complex skills including block-diagram
models, logic models and directed graphs. Analyst simply lets electrical
design experts be electrical design experts - beginning and ending with electrical
schematics.
Create libraries of re-useable designs and components.
Model ac and dc power systems - including design, planning and sizing.
Features a unique and sophisticated lead-acid battery model. Analyst is an industry-specific
ac and dc power system design tool offering several unique benefits. Analyst is used to
model, size and and design power systems which may include secondary batteries.
For
power telcos, Analyst is also the answer to managing and planning hundreds of
power system installations. Analyst allows telcos to draw and electronically
catalogue power systems in a graphical, fast and friendly manner. Where data
security is of the utmost concern, Analyst has an optional feature called CertLock.
CertLock is used to electronically encrypt critical power
equipment data so that libraries of pre-tested components may be easily assembled for use
throughout organisations.
Intelligent components
Analyst
features intelligent components with built-in behaviours. Gensets behave as real
gensets, shutting down when the fuel runs out or the current rating is exceeded.
Circuit-breakers trip on over-current. Rectifiers have in-rush current and
fold-back current-limiting, batteries can be charged and discharged, loads can have a
variety of real-world behaviours which users can set. Visual on-screen alarms are
raised when any part of the system experiences abnormal behaviour. The lead-acid
battery model is accurate enough to replace manufacturers data sheets and can accurately
predict temperature compensated discharge times into complex loads ranging from minutes to
days.
Analyst
may be used for creating electrical schematics; designing HV reticulation systems; sizing
ac distributions, gensets, rectifiers, batteries, protective devices, etc. Analyst is also a
highly visual tool with excellent training capabilities.
